MCC Receives Approval of Science Based Target Goals

Rosemont, Illinois, September 5, 2023 – Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), one of the world’s largest and leading label printers, is pleased to announce the validation of their science-based emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The SBTi is a global organization that provides companies with a clearly defined path to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Using 2021 as the benchmark year, MCC has been granted approval from SBTi and will begin tracking efforts to achieve the following goals:

• A 33% absolute reduction of scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gases by 2028
• A 25% absolute reduction of scope 3 greenhouse gases by 2030
• Net-Zero emissions across the value chain by 2050

MCC is proud to take a leading role within the industry with efforts to mitigate climate change across the value chain. In addition to SBTi, MCC works with several global accrediting bodies including The UN Global Compact, Ecovadis, Sedex, and CDP.
