Chivas Regal Extra 13 yo Collection Range

Chivas has launched the Chivas Extra 13 collection: a range of four 13-year-old whiskies that deliver extra flavor thanks to maturation in one of four casks during the whisky-making process: Oloroso Sherry, Rum, American Rye, and Tequila.

Family Inspiration 

The new collection was inspired by pioneering whisky blenders and founding brothers, James and John Chivas, who imported rums, exotic spices and luxury food items from across the globe to their emporium at 13 King Street, Aberdeen. During maturation, each cask imparts its own unique combination of characteristics to the Chivas blend and for the first time, adds new flavours to the spirit.

Where the Past meets the Present 

With each featured and expressional piece of artwork created by the renowned street artist Greg Gossel, Chivas has once again pushed the boundaries of traditional Scotch whisky with their fresh approach to packaging design. A celebration of the vibrant heritage, combining history with contemporary designs. Past meets Present. 

Perfect implementation for Brand Refresh 

MCC’s task was to produce not only the Collections’ PSL front and back bottle label, but also the wet glue neck label. The bottle front and back labels were printed with UV flexo on metallized paper. The gold effect was also replicated on the accompanying packaging. Opaque white under-printing and a 4-color process set were used to deliver the bold illustration elements and deep strong colors within the design. This was embellished with spot matt and spot gloss varnish and enhanced with embossing to complete the tactile layered effect. The neck label was also produced on metallized paper with litho-opaque white and 4 color process set in accordance with the brand design.
