In the beginning two theatre nurses, a deck and a drink in hand, pondered over the similarities between sterilising and distilling (as one does). The conversation went from drip rate, titrate, condensate to distillate. And so Steampunk Distillery’s journey into distilling began.
The desired look for this Vodka label was double-sided, with artist and designer EJ Zyla bringing the complex vision to life. The front of the label features detailed surgical instrument illustrations created through precision foiling on the felt-textured material. The back of the label heroes the original artwork encompassing the brands botanicals, which can be viewed on the inner curve through the bottle.
We’re thrilled that this label won the Excellence in Design category at the recently-held global Digital Labels & Packaging Awards 2023. The judges said: ‘Bold double-sided graphics with detailed foiling and varnishing, over a textured laminated label construction creates a striking look.’
