Alex Clark, formerly of Widow Jane, sought to create a rye brand that embodies the ideals of the first American distillates.

Fort Hamilton Rye Batch #1 is steeped in New York history. Fort Hamilton Rye Whiskey is barreled at a low proof for a smoother profile that emphasizes the rye grain over the barrel. It is non-chill filtered & aged in heavily charred new American white oak barrels on the Brooklyn waterfront.

We were approached by design agency Bulletproof in New York through our relationship with the London office for the Fort Hamilton Rye Whiskey Label as we are known for our ability to deliver on difficult projects, the design agency had already been working with a label printer in the US but they couldn’t deliver the quality needed in the foil, so they turned to us.

After a long discussion with the design agency, we had picked the best material and foil types to use. The label is predominantly hot foil so all the small details and large blocks of foil are difficult to achieve in one pass, we were able to achieve a great balance with all the technical experience within the company. The label is also covered with a perfectly even blue and fine reverse’s all printed together with laying inks to give the best possible finish.
