The name for this wine comes from the Longview Vineyard family surname ‘Saturno’, which means Saturn in Italian. The Roman god Saturn was the god of the harvest and agriculture, so it is fitting that one of the most important wines we make, Saturnus Nebbiolo, is named after him.

The god Saturn had two children, and he had a premonition that they would destroy him, so he ate them. Hence the many ancient paintings all over the world. Having a change of heart a little later, Saturn had two more children and they became the gods ‘Jupiter’ and ‘Juno’. These gods worship our Barbera and Nebbiolo Rosato respectively.

Digital printing suited the small batch nature of this premium wine. Printing on Cotone Bianco provides a perfect canvas for this bold yet simple design, complemented by gold foil and roof embossing.
