Oribe’s New Resin Labels Enhance Performance and Aesthetics

Healthy hair starts at the scalp. That’s why Oribe started the The Serene Scalp Collection. These products approach scalp health holistically by targeting areas of concern. Inspired by skincare technology, the Serene Scalp family provides a step-by-step hair regimen that includes a cleanser, moisturizer, exfoliator and targeted treatments for overall hair health.

Oribe wanted to improve the packaging of not only the Serene Scalp Collection, but all liters Oribe produces if the concept proved successful.

Optimizing product performance

Oribe had challenges in the past with their shampoo and conditioner pumps not staying locked. Oribe phased in a new pump that has an improved locking mechanism. This enabled Oribe to work with MCC to find a solution for more decorative labels on the cap. MCC suggested implementing Resin labels, which give a luxurious look to their already premium brand. The “S”, “C”, and “M” labels written on the Resin labels also provide a nice functional aspect. The labeling makes it easy for stylists at the backbar in salons to quickly see which product they need (S is shampoo, C is conditioner, etc). The Resin label improves the aesthetic greatly, and also makes the stylists lives easier – a great win, win for all parties.

Elevating consumer experience

Oribe implemented MCC’s Resin label onto their package, and as a result, enhanced the consumer experience. Since Resin labels have a strong adhesive with a rubber feel and a high-end look, not only did the visual experience change for the better, the functional use did as well. Due to the great feedback and success, the Resin label was rolled out for the whole Serene Sculp collection.
