Mount Macedon Winery is set in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, just under an hour out of the hustle and bustle of Melbourne CBD. At almost 700 meters above sea level and on the western slope of Mount Macedon, the Winery really wanted to reflect in their label artwork the uniqueness of the area by using the mountain scape as the feature on the designs.
A contrasting mix of black and a bright colour palette aligned the dark and moody physical architecture with the printed labels to give a feeling of completeness and overall estate cohesion. The bright colours were beautifully emphasised by a natural pattern achieved with high-build screen. Unique to each label, the glossy pattern added texture and visual interest.
The Single Vineyard range used the same two-tone design in black and grey along with the unique patterned high-build screen. Additionally, gold and silver foils were used to visually identify these wines as premium tier.
Striving to create a wine bottle design that matched the premium wine it housed, Mount Macedon Winery couldn’t be happier with the result from MCC.
